I grew up in a small town in South Central Pennsylvania. My family was and still is a bunch of goofballs. We didn’t have much , but we had plenty of laughter. I was never as much of an avid reader as my mom, but if I got drawn into a book it was like I was living it. In hindsight, I wish I would have seen that as the spark to start writing earlier, but alas I was young and dumb. I do however remember being in grade school and struggling to keep a short story short. My teacher thought my writing showed promise, and that always stuck with me even when writing was the furthest thing from my life goals. It’s funny how something like that can stick with you for decades.

I tried writing a novel ten years ago, but I wasn’t ready. let’s just say that I am NOT very good at sitting still. Several surgeries later, slowing down became much easier. I suppose turning 50 helps slow you down a bit also. I learned to embrace my downtime and turn it into something I enjoy. And I learned to let my imagination run rampant. It truly is a lot of fun to write a story. I sincerely hope that you have as much fun reading it as I did writing it.
